Origins unsure, certainly drawn for noble patronage, it could have been for Manoel the Fortunate of Portugal or for Francis Premier of France. Found in France, late C19th, 4 vellum leaves. Drawn immediately after the first Portuguese expeditions (Vasco da Gama, Cabral, Juan Coelho and Albuquerque (1489 - 1515)
